What my daughter has written here in her most recent post is so true as I know very well now that I have children already building their own nests and teens poised to do the same. Now my moments with my children still at home are just that much more treasured because I know in a blink of an eye – they will just be memories! And it is hard not to cry at the thought sometimes! Every moment is to be treasured whether its that newborn cry or the 3 month old asleep on your chest, the first tooth lost – the first date… graduation… marriage and your children suddenly experiencing parenthood – every second slips by like – well, like sand through your fingers and you hope that the memories will stick like the sand that sticks to damp fingers!

  1. Would you help me get word out? I’m starting a new project for studying classic Catholic literature, by posting a chapter a day of public domain works. I’ll be starting with Chesterton on Tuesday. I hope to foster some relevant discussion along the way.
