Mothers Day

Today Emma received the anointment of the sick and, most amazingly – the Sacrament of Confirmation.  She will go into surgery well armed in grace and God’ s most healing love and peace. Not only did she receive this sacrament but because it was first Friday the Blessed Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist was exposed and so Jesus was a front row guest at her confirmation.Thank You Father James for suggesting this and doing the leg work required to get it done!

Unfortunately, Emma has contracted the same upper respiratory virus her younger sisters have. However, as she has now been fever free for almost 48 hours the plan is for her to show up at 8 am tomorrow and then it will be decided if the surgery will go on as planned or be postponed. I am praying that God will guide us to the right decision.

Sunday – Mother’s day – my only gift request is that Emma come home happy and healthy from her surgery. Emma herself is really looking forward to her surgery and to starting to feel better. Though she looks really good in her First Communion pictures – in truth she has large dark circles under her eyes and is often very tired.

I will update when possible but in case you do not hear from me for a few days – God Bless you all and a Happy Mother’s day to all of you!
